Homestay Application Procedure for University of Melbourne Students aged under 18 years old

For Under 18 students studying at The University of Melbourne, please follow these steps when applying for Homestay Accommodation with Study Vision

Invoice sent by Study Vision

Study Vision issues an invoice to the Student/Agent for the Accommodation Placement Fee

Homestay Profile Issued

Once student/agent pays the Accommodation Placement Fee, Study Vision will issue a Homestay Profile.

Profile forwarded to University of Melbourne

Student/Agent forwards the Homestay Profile to University of Melbourne.

University of Melbourne Approves Homestay

University of Melbourne inspects and approves the Homestay. If University of Melbourne rejects the Homestay, Study Vision will arrange another Homestay free of charge.

CAAW Issued

Once University of Melbourne approves the Homestay, they will issue the CAAW to the student. As soon as the student/agent receives the CAAW, they need to inform Study Vision.

Second Invoice Issued

Study Vision will then issue an invoice for Airport Pickup Fee & Rental.

Second Invoice Paid

Student/agent pays the Airport Pickup Fee & Rental to Study Vision.

Visa and flight confirmed

Student informs Study Vision that they have received their visa and confirms their flight details

Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement issued by Study Vision

Study Vision sends an Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement, including the Homestay Family Profile, to the student

Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement Signed by Student and Parents

Student and parents sign the last page of the Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement and return the full Agreement, including all pages, to Study Vision

Ready to Arrive

The Student's homestay is now booked and waiting for their arrival.

Note: While students are staying in a Study Vision arranged homestay, their rental will be managed by Study Vision. The Student will be invoiced for their continuing Rental every 4 weeks, until the student leaves the Homestay. The student should not pay any money directly to the homestay host.

Study Vision will send the student an invoice at least 2 weeks before payment is due. This invoice needs to be paid on time, to make sure that the student can continue staying at this homestay.

Instructions on how to pay the continuing Rental are included in the invoice. If there are any issues with paying the continuing rental invoices, please contact Study Vision on +61 2 9669 5225 or on WeChat (study_vision, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, or studyvisionoz, 24 hours)
