Homestay Application Procedure For University Of Sydney Students Aged Under 18 Years Old

For U18 University of Sydney and USFP at Taylors College students, follow these steps when applying for our homestay

Notes:

  1. The University of Sydney requires that the Check-In Date you put in the Study Vision homestay application form matches the Guardianship Start Date given by your third-party Guardian. Please confirm this date before submitting your application to Study Vision
  2. Underage students studying at University of Sydney or University of Sydney Foundation Program at Taylors College are required by the University of Sydney to book an Airport Transfer service with their homestay provider whenever they arrive in Australia, and whenever they will be returning to their home country.
Invoice issued by Study Vision

Study Vision issues an invoice for accommodation placement, airport pick up, 4 weeks rental and internet fees to the student

Proof of Payment

Please email the proof of payment to Study Vision once your payment is done

Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement issued by Study Vision

Study Vision sends an Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement, including the Homestay Family Profile, to the student

Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement Signed by Student and Parents

Student and parents sign the last page of the Accommodation & Airport Transfer Agreement and return the full Agreement, including all pages, to Study Vision

Accommodation & Airport Transfer confirmed with The University of Sydney

Study Vision informs The University of Sydney that the Accommodation & Airport Transfer has been organised, and confirms that The University of Sydney can issue the COE & CAAW.

Visa Application is made

Student submits their visa application to the Australian Government

Visa is granted

The Australian Government grants a visa to the student

Flight is Booked

Student books their flight to Australia.

Please note, all underage students studying at University of Sydney or University of Sydney Foundation Program at Talyors College are required by the University of Sydney to book an Airport Transfer service with their homestay provider whenever they arrive in Australia, and whenever they will be returning to their home country.

Visa and Flight confirmed with Study Vision

Student informs Study Vision that they have received their visa and confirms their flight details

Airport Pickup Confirmed

Study Vision issues an airport pickup confirmation to the student

Ready to Arrive

Your homestay is now booked and waiting for your arrival.

Note: While students are staying in a Study Vision arranged homestay, their rental will be managed by Study Vision. The Student will be invoiced for their continuing Rental every 4 weeks, until the student leaves the Homestay. The student should not pay any money directly to the homestay host.

Study Vision will send the student an invoice at least 2 weeks before payment is due. This invoice needs to be paid on time, to make sure that the student can continue staying at this homestay.

Instructions on how to pay the continuing Rental are included in the invoice. If there are any issues with paying the continuing rental invoices, please contact Study Vision on +61 2 9669 5225 or on WeChat (study_vision, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, or studyvisionoz, 24 hours)

Note regarding Airport Transfers: Underage students studying at University of Sydney or University of Sydney Foundation Program are required to have approved transport arrangements whenever they travel in or out of their approved homestay. Study Vision will include an Airport Pickup Fee in the initial invoice, and will invoice Airport Dropoff/Pickup Fees whenever a student goes on holidays, or moves out of the homestay. You must inform Study Vision any time you will go on holidays or plan to move out of the homestay. Study Vision will send you an email on a regular basis with a link to a form to remind you to inform us of your plans.
