Will I need to do chores?

Check with your host about any house rules, such as cleaning your room, using the laundry facilities and how you can help with household chores.

Your host may ask you to help with some chores around the house, such as sometimes washing the dishes after dinner.

This is a good opportunity for you to interact with your host family, and learn about their culture.

You are also responsible for keeping your room clean. Your host has the right to check your room to make sure you are keeping it clean and tidy.

You are not allowed to eat in your bedroom. Only eat in the kitchen or dining room, and dispose of any rubbish immediately, .
